Hand wash – instructions
Basic rules for hand washing
Never wash the vehicle in direct sunlight and always use plenty of wash water. The entire paintwork must stay wet during the wash – "keep it wet".
Removing insects
Place a Swissvax cloth soaked in lukewarm water over the insect residue for five minutes. Then wash off with Car Bath wash water and a Micro-Wash microfibre cloth. Do not rub – do not use insect sponges, as they cause micro-scratches.
Using Car Bath – two-bucket method
1. Fill two wash buckets with 20 litres of warm water. Add one cap of Car Bath to one of the two buckets.
2. Rinse the vehicle with plenty of clean water.
3. Wash the vehicle from top to bottom with the Waschpudel and plenty of wash water – avoid circular motions. Start with the roof, boot and bonnet. Always rinse the Waschpudel first in the bucket with clean water, then dip it back into the Car Bath bucket. This prevents wash scratches.
4. Rinse the vehicle with plenty of clean water.
5. Dry with the Hydra Lip and/or the Ultra-Dry drying towel.
Engine wash & engine sealing – instructions
Using Engine engine cleaner
1. Protect the distributor, ignition coil and spark plugs with plastic film.
2. Fill a Mixing Bottle with Engine concentrate up to the "1" mark.
3. Add the amount of water for the desired concentration: "1:1" for heavy soiling, "1:2" for normal soiling, "1:3" for exhaust soiling on exterior paintwork.
4. Spray the Engine mixture evenly onto cooled, dry surfaces and let it act for 3 minutes.
5. Carefully remove oil, soot and soiling with a Wheel Brush. Occasionally re-spray with Engine.
6. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water.
7. Remove the plastic film and let the engine dry well.
Using Motor Shine engine sealant
1. Clean the engine carefully with Engine.
2. Always switch off the ignition before application (risk of short circuit). Cover adjacent paint and body parts.
3. Spray Motor Shine onto completely dry, cooled surfaces.
4. Apply evenly in several fine spray layers until a closed gloss film forms.
5. Allow to dry for 15–30 minutes.
